There should be no problem bringing your pet into
the Bahamas, provided its age is six months or older. You would
need to obtain an import licence from the Ministry of Agriculture
& Fisheries, Nassau, and provide a valid health certificate. The
Ministry's charge for processing the application is $10 and if
they have to fax anything to you they charge $5. Their telephone

P. O. Box N-3028, Nassau, Bahamas. Your pet would have to be examined by a local veterinarian in Nassau within forty-eight hours of arrival and you should bring all of your pet's medical records. The charge for a normal veterinarian's exam is approx. $20, plus the cost of any pills (e.g. heart worm pills) if recommended.
